Environmental Causes

Global warming poses one of the most serious threats to the global environment ever faced in human history. By going on a plant based diet, or at least moving in that direction, we can reduce impact of climate change, rain forest destruction, and pollution, while saving water and other important resources. According to the United Nation Food and Agricultural Organizations. Animal agriculture accounts for 18% of all greenhouse gas and production, more than all transportation combined (14%). The World Bank lead environmental scientists, estimates that animal agriculture is responsible for 51% of all greenhouse gases. Whether its 18%, 51% or somewhere in between, cutting back on animal product consumption is the biggest thing one can do to help the environment. For example, giving up one hamburger and replacing it with Plant Protein is the equivalent of not showering for two months!
